Overview
The Training and Education (T&E) Committee strives to increase the knowledge, skills, and abilities of all CESA members. T&E supports advancing best practices and professional growth to support CESA members' success, both personally and professionally. The Committee supports chapter and state webinars while developing content for the Training Library. As CESA is “by its members, for its members”, the T&E committee is eager to receive member feedback to deliver relevant and engaging materials. As an expansion of this committee, CESA Book Club helps members meet to read themed literature while engaging in meaningful dialogue to connect CESA members across the state.

Webinars
The Training and Education committee assists Chapters with organizing and promoting webinars. In addition to this, T&E is hoping to provide state-wide training virtually to provide additional learning opportunities to its members. Log in and check out CESA's Calendar for scheduled webinars!
Training Library/LMS
The Training Library, also known as the Learning Management System (LMS), is a place where members can further their knowledge at their own pace. While T&E hopes to create additional courses, the Training Library/LMS currently has past chapter and state webinars for review.
Training/Education Topic Submissions
Member input is critical to CESA’s mission and success. The Training and Education Committee seeks your input on educational content for future meetings, workshops, and webinars. Are there topics that would be valuable for inclusion at future educational forums that you would like to see offered? Please provide feedback on training and educational topics you feel CESA should provide.

CESA Book Club
The CESA Book Club is a new subcomponent of CESA Training and Education Committee. This member initiative meets virtually quarterly with fellow emergency service professionals who love to read and discuss disaster themed books and explore lessons learned, as well as the historical context of the selected theme. A new theme is selected each quarter, so your thoughts and ideas are encouraged for future Book Club get-togethers. There are three virtual meetings and one in-person meeting at the annual CESA Conference. Open to all Emergency Management professionals who love to read about disasters; we look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
